Where the numbers come from, and what they do and don't mean.
Sources. Prices are compiled from public pricing, supplier price lists, and anonymous market submissions. Each compound row carries its source note — open the detail panel to see exactly who was observed and when.
Market price. The "market price" is the observed mid-range of the quotes we hold, not a recommendation and not an offer. We normalize to a unit (per month, per vial, per billion particles) so apples-to-apples comparison is possible.
Regulatory status. FDA approval status is researched and labeled per compound (approved / mixed / gray / investigational). It is informational only. No product here is endorsed or guaranteed, and several classes have no FDA approval for therapeutic use.
Quality. The quality score (1-10) reflects documentation completeness — COAs, characterization assays, sterility panels — not efficacy or safety.
What this is not. KnownChem publishes data. It does not sell, broker, or facilitate transactions in any product, and it does not dispense medical advice.
